Mad Hippie Cream Cleanser Or Cleansing Oil: How to Choose?

Which One is Right for You?

When it comes to washing your face, there’s a lot to think about! For instance: Do you wear makeup? How about sunscreen? What’s your skin type? Do you prefer a quick and simple skin care routine or do you enjoy taking a little extra time to pamper yourself? Overwhelmed? Don’t be! Mad Hippie has two cleansers in their line and while choosing between them might seem complicated, it’s really not!

Let’s start with Mad Hippie Cream Cleanser. This non-foaming, gentle formula was created to have a slightly acidic pH. Why? Because it’s important not to strip the acid mantle, which is the layer of protective oils on the surface of the skin. Alkaline cleansers can strip the skin of natural oils and may cause dryness, redness, and skin irritation. By choosing naturally hydrating ingredients like sodium PCA and hyaluronic acid + incorporating beneficial oils like jojoba and macadamia nut, Mad Hippie Cream Cleanser hydrates while gently lifting dirt and other impurities from the skin.

This Cream Cleanser can be used morning or night. Simply massage into skin for about 20 seconds, rinse with lukewarm water, and gently pat your face dry. That’s it! Quick and easy.

Next up, Mad Hippie Cleansing Oil. This is ideal for nighttime routines because it provides a deeper cleanse - but feel free to use it in the morning too! If you wear makeup or sunscreen, this is a great option! Much like the Cream Cleanser, it’s formulated not to strip the skin of natural oils. Mad Hippie uses a blend of non-comedogenic oils like high linoleic safflower oil, rosehip oil, and pumpkin seed oil as well as a little ginger to help calm temperamental skin. These oils bind to impurities (dirt, excess sebum, makeup, sunscreen) and remove them without clogging pores or disrupting your skin's natural pH.

For those of you who prefer a mini, spa-like experience at home, the Cleansing Oil is absolutely lovely! As the first step in your AM or PM routine, massage a generous amount of the Cleansing Oil onto your skin for at least 45 seconds to help dissolve impurities. Next, lay a warm, damp washcloth over your face and leave on until cooled (for at least one full minute). Finally, gently wipe away the Cleansing Oil, taking with it all those impurities your skin won’t miss! This luxurious end-of-day ritual will leave your skin feeling silky smooth.

If you can’t decide between the two, why not use the Cream Cleanser in the morning and the Cleansing Oil at Night? Or, you can double cleanse! Start with the Cleansing Oil and then follow with the Cream Cleanser.
